Flood disaster - relief supplies sent to Nettetal
Röhlig Logistics, BUDNI & Hanseatic Help donate & help together
Hamburg, 29 July 2021 - The Röhlig Germany branch has joined forces with the Hamburg-based drugstore company BUDNI to help with donations in kind and free logistics during the flood disaster. A truck transport organised by Röhlig Logistics with donations in kind from BUDNI starts this weekend from Hamburg towards Nettetal/North Rhine-Westphalia, where Röhlig will provide storage space for the supply of the flood victims.
The Nettetal volunteer fire brigade is in direct contact with their fire brigade colleagues in Bad Münstereifel and is currently supplying the region with blankets, food and everyday goods. Among other things, BUDNI donates 15 pallets of sponges, sponge cloths, all-purpose cleaners, sweeping sets, brooms, household gloves, shaving foam and shower gel. In addition, the non-profit organisation Hanseatic Help e.V., which has been a cooperation partner of BUDNI for many years, is contributing toothpaste, mouthwash, disinfectant liquid and disinfectant wipes from its donation quota.
Many victims of the floods literally have nothing left. They urgently need to be provided with the very basics such as food, drinking water and personal hygiene products, and need support with the gigantic clean-up and clean-up work. We are very happy that we can help here pragmatically and quickly with our product range and the support of the logistics company Röhlig."
Christoph Wöhlke, Managing Director of Iwan Budnikowsky GmbH & Co. KG
Our location in Nettetal is close to the areas severely affected by the floods and we feel connected to the people and the region, which is why we immediately agreed when the request for help from the Nettetal volunteer fire brigade for Bad Münstereifel reached us and are delighted about the cooperation with BUDNI and Hanseatic Help e.V.
Dirk Schneider, Managing Director for Röhlig Germany
Manuela Szepan from Hanseatic Help e.V. adds: "It is important to us to help in a targeted and needs-oriented way. It's nice that we were able to respond to a concrete call for help together."
