At Röhlig Logistics, caring for people is central to what we do, not just for our team members, but also for the communities in which we operate. Our Röhlig Charity Programme aims to give back to those in need. When Röhlig Belgium had the opportunity to make a real difference thanks to the 2023 Röhlig Charity Project, the team were excited to help. After an employee vote, we are delighted to announce our new partnership with FEESTvarken vzw! We are proud to support FEESTvarken vzw so we can be stronger together for local children and families.
About FEESTvarken vzw
FEESTvarken vzw is a non-profit organisation that provides birthday packages to children living in poverty in Belgium. The packages contain gifts, cake ingredients, party supplies and treats so underprivileged children can celebrate their special day.
Röhlig Belgium’s General Manager Thierry Delmotte and Business Development Manager Thomas Biermann visited FEESTvarken vzw’s premises in Lille. They were given an in-depth tour of the facilities and learned about the charity’s day-to-day operations and impact on local children. Thierry and Thomas also formally presented FEESTvarken vzw with a €3000 donation cheque from Röhlig Belgium to support their inspirational work. This contribution will help the organisation continue delivering birthday joy to disadvantaged children across Belgium.
“It was incredibly humbling and motivating to see first-hand the difference FEESTvarken vzw makes for so many children,” said Thierry Delmotte. “We are proud to support their efforts and help bring a little magic to the lives of young people facing adversity.”
Röhlig Belgium also plans to provide hands-on assistance to FEESTvarken vzw later this year. The full Röhlig Belgium team will participate in a team building activity to help pack birthday parcels to send out to children in need. At Röhlig, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on local communities.
