Adjusting to the new normal
03. September 2020 - It has been over twenty weeks since Röhlig UK Ltd first adjusted its operations for the safety of colleagues and the community whilst meeting the demands of customers, and we are pleased to share that our Röhlig UK offices are fully open and Covid secure.
According to the UK Government report on Coronavirus and the economic impacts (13 August 2020) “Most industries reported 90% or more of businesses as currently trading and have been for more than the last two weeks.” This is an indication economies are gradually opening back up and businesses are making arrangements to adapt to new social distancing norms, whilst keeping the economy going where possible.
It is our people that make Röhlig Logistics the business it is and we are incredibly proud that the UK team functioned as normal during such difficult times. Our teams provided customers with continued service excellence, despite working from home and some colleagues being on furlough leave. The Company is following UK Government guidance on Covid secure workplaces, setting up safety measures such as restricting non-employee access to office buildings, maintaining social distancing, splitting teams to work remotely or from offices on a rotational basis as well as providing hygiene stations and appropriate PPE.
Gary Pryke, Regional CEO – North Europe, says “It’s fantastic to be able to start reuniting our teams in our offices and to catch up with my colleagues in person – wishing everyone good luck with getting back into their work attire!”
