Experiencing logistics up close at the port of Barcelona
Bremen, 20 July 2023 - In June, Röhlig Spain invited a group of customers on a guided tour of the port of Barcelona to experience the hustle and bustle of the world of logistics up close. Conveniently located on the north-west coast of the Mediterranean Sea, the port of Barcelona is Spain’s main port for international traffic and connects to around 200 ports across the globe.
After a joint lunch and an introductory presentation about the ins and outs of the maritime hub, it was time to explore the large harbour by boat. During the tour, the group gained valuable behind-the-scenes insights into the complex logistics processes of one of Europe’s busiest ports and experienced the flow of goods first hand. Led by port authorities, they were able to take a close-up look at fully loaded cargo ships, tall cargo cranes and large container terminals against the impressive backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.
Jesus María Ochoa, National Sales Manager at Röhlig Spain, says: “The port tour was a very memorable experience for everyone involved, and we really enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with our customers. Given the very positive feedback, we are already planning the next event and are looking forward to inviting another group to the port of Bilbao in October.”
