Pausder and Brorhilker strengthen the Advisory Board of the Röhlig Group - Bremen's traditional company relies on well-respected digital experts
Bremen, 24 January 2018 – At the beginning of 2019, Röhlig Logistics began the new year by expanding its Advisory Board. With the additions of Verena Pausder and Jan Brorhilker two well-respected digital experts have been appointed to the Advisory Board of the owner-run logistics company.
"We are very much looking forward to working with Ms. Pausder and Mr. Brorhilker," Thomas W. Herwig, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, explains. "Their extensive and proven experience with digital business models gives us valuable advice for our future growth strategy and related digitalization projects."
Verena Pausder (39) is the company founder and owner of the children’s App "Fox & Sheep", Managing Director at HABA Digital GmbH and co-initiator of the non-profit initiative Startup Teens. Furthermore, Pausder is a member of the Innovation Council Digitization organized by the German government as well as a member of the Advisory Council "Young Digital Economy" organized by the German Federal Minister of Economics. In 2016, Pausder was honored with the Young Global Leader award by the World Economic Forum.
Jan Brorhilker (37) serves as Partner Assurance (FAAS) at Ernst & Young and is a specialist in providing consultation for start-ups and digitalization. As a finance expert, he advises medium-sized companies in dealing with digitization.
In November 2017, investment manager Maximilian Frey (34) of Nord Holding Hannover was appointed to the board. Frey specializes in Auditing, M & A Transactions and Private Equity.
The rejuvenation of the Advisory Board emphasizes the future strategic direction of the long-standing company, Herwig added. "In the digital age, it is no longer just about experience and control but also about introducing new ways of thinking and close networking in the digital scene."
On December 31st, 2018, Prof. Dr. Peer Witten resigned from the advisory board after reaching the age limit. "For nearly fifteen years, Peer Witten supported the board with his expertise and will continue to offer professional advice to the Herwig family," emphasizes Thomas W. Herwig.
Other members of the Advisory Board include Dr. Andreas M. Odefey (BPE Private Equity GmbH) and Dr. Thomas Noth (Partner at ACENT AG, Berlin).
