Röhlig Logistics opens a new office in Queretaro, Mexico, and expands its global network
Bremen, 12 September 2022 – The owner-managed logistics company Röhlig Logistics has expanded its local presence in Mexico with the opening of an office in Queretaro.
The city of Queretaro is a central hub of the so-called 'Bajio region' in central Mexico. Considering the constant economic growth as well as an increasing local customer base, we decided to show a stronger presence in this fast-growing area”, says Michael Gerding, Regional CEO LATAM.
Located about three hours north of Mexico City, the “Bajio region” spans across the federal states of Queretaro, Guanajuato, Jalisco and Aguascalientes. For several years in a row, it has been named the most economically dynamic and safe region in Mexico. Due to the central location, the “Bajio region” and especially the state of Queretaro is home to companies of different industries from all around the world.
“Today, a significant number of our top clients are based in the ‘Bajio region’. In recent years, it has experienced an increase in foreign direct investments from European, American and Asian companies of various sectors. Currently, more than 100 Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive companies as well as many different aerospace companies are located there. This makes it the new center of the automotive and aerospace industry in Mexico”, explains Michael Gerding.
With the opening of the new office in this strategically important region, which already took place in July this year, Röhlig Logistics further strengthens its position in the growing Mexican market. The company now has branches operating in Mexico City, Monterrey, Puebla and Queretaro.
