HR Manager for Spain and Italy

Responsibilities

  • Analyses, develops and challenges the organizational structure in line with the company policies and matrix organization and questions reporting lines
  • Develops job descriptions and success maps for new roles and ensures that job descriptions exist for current jobs and are constantly updated
  • Assists with the recruiting process by posting job ads, pre-selecting candidates and participating in interviews as per global recruiting process
  • Reviews the onboarding process and implements a clear induction process in line with the global guideline and makes sure induction checklist and booklet as well as e-learning is used
  • Develops ideas to brand the local entity as an employer of choice and makes contact with universities or schools to present the company and recruit interns
  • Develops and implements a local HR strategy based on the Global HR Strategy
  • Reviews the global survey results, develops actions together with the local management, presents them to Global HR and ensures actions are taken and followed through.
  • Makes sure that performance appraisal process is in place and that managers are prepared accordingly in order to conduct them confidently.
  • Reviews the workforce capability and develops a process to improve skills and competencies
  • Makes sure training is offered, e.g. by promoting the global e-learning and develops local e-learnings in line with global guideline
  • Develops and reviews training concepts and reviews and selects training providers and coaches
  • Supports the MD in implementing measures in regards to current personnel development initiatives and the Corporate HR Strategy
  • Discusses staff planning and requirements to streamline with the MD and takes part in the budgeting process
  • Develops the role of a mediator in the organization in case of disputes between staff
  • HR Plan follow-up

 

Skills required

  • Technical Competence: Good knowledge and experience of minimum 3 years in employment law, personnel development, organizational planning & development, recruitment, change management and training from an international company, Degree in Human Resources preferable
  • Language skills: Italian or Spanish as mother language and high level of English, and Italian or Spanish skills.
  • Personality: passionate, empathetic, decisive, humble, willing to listen, reflect, learn and grow, courageous, ethical, inspiring, resilient, creative, can do attitude, balances power and responsibility, reliable, accountable, visionary
  • Functional & general competence: Able to deal with complexity, applicable functional expertise, required language skills, good understanding of finance, readiness to learn, digital affinity
  • Communications Skills: Skilled in communicating with a broad spectrum of people. Skilled in communicating at all levels of management and builds trust quickly and confidently. Has an open and inclusive style and constructively participates in meetings. Good listening skills. Mediation skills.
  • Intercultural awareness: Is aware of the differences between cultures and has demonstrated ability to deal with intercultural teams
  • Process improvement: Encourages others to question the status quo. Identifies areas for improving processes to improve productivity and efficiency and willingly embraces change
  • Be available for traveling abroad; 1 week per month to either Milan or Barcelona (depending on where you will be based, e.g. if based in Barcelona you will be going to Milan for 1 work week per month) and occasional travel to Germany and France for Global and Regional HR conferences and meetings.
