Röhlig Australia is proud to support Gilmour Space Technologies as they prepare to launch Australia’s first commercial orbital rocket. This historic milestone is set to propel Australia into a new era of space exploration, driven by the innovation and dedication of Adam and James Gilmour and their talented team.
Since the partnership began in 2021, Röhlig has been a trusted partner in delivering tailored logistics solutions to Gilmour Space. From providing air freight services for key rocket components to securing the first Space Concession Bylaw in Australian history, Röhlig’s expertise has been instrumental in overcoming the unique challenges of space logistics. Comprehensive support from the logistics company includes air and sea forwarding, transport, border clearance, and customs consultancy.
Gilmour Space is at the forefront of the space sector with the development of Eris, a 25-meter rocket designed to deliver satellites and payloads into orbit. This groundbreaking vehicle represents a critical step in launching up to 10,000 satellites in the coming years, meeting the needs of both domestic and international customers.
Recently, Röhlig Australia had the privilege of visiting the Bowen Orbital Spaceport, the launch site for Gilmour Space’s missions. The visit featured an insightful tour of the facilities and launch pad guided by James Gilmour, Co-founder and Head of Launch Site Operations. Additionally, witnessing the completed wet dress rehearsal — a critical pre-launch procedure — for the Eris rocket offered a firsthand look at the technical expertise and effort involved in preparing for launch.
“Röhlig Australia is the trusted partner that Gilmour Space can rely on. Consultation advice, operational service, and support span across all aspects of the supply chain,” noted Mark Mauceri, Chief of Staff at Gilmour Space Technologies.
